Wimmie's Musings
YEA!!! It is a little warmer today. Would you believe a lot warmer? It was 25 last night and already 59 today. That almost sounds like we could go out and play in shirt sleeves! Well if we were young enough to play. Maybe we could at least watch the younger ones play.
Anyway, I'm just glad it is warmer and hope that was our winter. We don't usually have more than that, but seems like this year may be really different as it has surely started out different. Sometimes we can eat Christmas dinner out side on the picnic table, but would have frozen to death if we had tried that this year. Maybe there will be lots of warmer ones before we have another one like this. Most years we don't really get cold until middle of Jan or 1st of Feb. It beat itself this time.
Great to have this nice sunshiney day anyway. Thank you LORD!

Well I'm not sure how long since I was here and sometimes not even sure where I've been since I was here. Between this blasted cold air and all that needs to be done and all that demands to be done and the occasional...sorry the all too often power outage that seems to be the norm nowadays...maybe it really doesn't really matter where I've been only that I'm back here now and know that I am!!!!
East Texas uaually treats us better than this with the weather. Of course it is way too hot in the summer, but I can surely stand to be too hot more than I can stand to be too cold. Its not only stressful just being too cold, but then if you turn the heat up so you can be warm enough then you are stressed out about how you are going to pay the electric bill or the gas bill or both. They (whoever they are) say that stress will kill you and I'm on the verge of believing them. There is always something to worry about. Not that I worry! Maybe if I did I wouldn't feel so stressed.
I really need to study the Bible more, pray more, lose weight, exercise more, work more to make more money, get rid of more clutter and on and on and on! So I think I'll go find something to eat while think on all this.
Seriously, I just hope each night as I pray and go to sleep that when I wake I'll know where I am and will be able to get out of bed and just do the things I need to do to take care of myself and whatever else comes my way that I need to do.
You know that God didn't promise us a tomorrow unless we believe in Him and accept Him as our Savior.
I have done this so I really don't have to worry at all. Just keep my faith and trust in Him and He will do the rest.

Musings---Wimmies
Well I've worked all morning and tried to figure out how to put things on my blog that I want there and for some unknown reason I seem to be the worlds most...because I waste more time trying to figure it out than I ever do work!!!!! Its Monday January the 4th ,2010 and I intend to make my time count for more this year. I sometimes let myself get lazy...even tho I hide it pretty good. I also feel lazy as the arthritis pain will not let me do nearly all my mind wants me to do. Getting old is for the birds! I like being able to think of something that needs to be done and jumping up and doing it. Of course needless to say...I can't jump and do anything anymore.
I want and need to lose some pounds. I want and need to do more Bible Study! I want and need to do more crafts to sell. I want and need to Pray more. I want and need to do more house repair. I want and need to do more house cleaning. I want and need to give more of my stuff to someone who needs it as I surely have more than I need!!!! God always blesses me with more than a full measure and I let Him down so miserably. He promises us so many things if we just grab hold of His hand and let Him lead us. One of these promises is in Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
If I didn't know in my heart that He means every word of the Bible (HIS HOLY WORD),I would never make it through 1 day much less so many more...I hope!
Returning "Green" Blogger!!!!
Finally I feel that I MADE IT !! I thought I would never get over the full blown case of bronchitis I got 2 weeks prior to Christmas. I'm still coughing a little, but nothing like the first 2 or 3 weeks.
I'm really interested in writing and sharing on this blog. I'll get in the routine and it will happen even when I'm sick or really busy doing other things. I have lots of crafts, recipes and " growing up" stories I want to share with all of you.
I trust that you all had a Great Christmas and will have a Wonderful New Year.
There are so many things I would like to get done and places I would like to go this year.
I have a large family and some of them come to my home every spring to go crappie fishing in the great Sam Rayburn lake here in East Texas. We've caught lots of great fish over the years. They are really good eatin too.
I want to remind you again that I have an avon business and want you to know you are welcome to visit and shop my website anytime day or night. I would love to be your avon calling person. There are lots of things on sale right now. I've been using the Gold Emulsion Night cream and really like it. The new " Skin So Soft" products are great also.

Feeling some better and Busy
Here it is Wed. night and I think I'm finally feeling some better. When I get bronchitis it always seems like it trys to take me down. I don't have time to be sick anytime much less right here at Christmas time. Everyone is getting in the mood and things are really starting to look like the holidays will be here soon. I always look forward to the holidays, but if I don't watch out I bite off more than I can chew. I always want to do more than I should. I have 2 full days ahead of me at the beauty salon. (Bravo) is where I work. I enjoy working there because I like all the girls there and I just like making my friends "More Beautiful". I'm also excited about all the deals in the campagine 1 Avon book.">. I would love to have you go there and check out some of the deals and feel free to purchase and enjoy some of these nice items.

Still learning
Well here I am again finally. I woke up sick early sunday morning and waited to see the Doc for 3hrs 40 mins. today. I was just happy to get to see him. Got a shot and prescription and hopefully will be better long before Christmas. I'm looking forward to Christmas as usual. I love the moods and attitudes of most people at this time of year. Just the fact that Jesus sent His Son to the world to save us from our sins makes me HAPPY. Thank you Lord for sending your Son. Have most of what I'm doing already done. I'm so tickled about learning to blog and all the things that go with it. I'm going to put up a craft that I picled up at Hobby Lobby. I make a lot of crafts myself and will be sharing them with you, but soooo busy right now we'll just share this one.

Sunday Morning
Well Its Sunday morning and I'm sitting at home with full blown bronchitis. I was fine (I thought) when I went to bed. Guess not!!! I had a busy day yesterday and breezed right through it. Then last night before going to bed I made 2 kinds of dessert for the church Christmas lunch today. I made the best chess squares and gooood brownies with fresh (BIG CHUNKS) black walnuts. I have a friend in Tennessee who gets all the black walnuts off a big old tree and fixes them to use and give away. I'm the happy recipient of part of that crop each time that she has them. I've know her now for several years so we've been best friends for a over 40 years. You would have to be a best friend for me to clean, hull, crack and pick out black walnuts and give them away. That is exactly what she does and loves every minute of it especially when she hands them to you and says ENJOY with a big smile on her face. She is a vegetarian and is a wonderful cook. Can you tell...I love her very much. Everyone needs a friend like her. Well guess I've rambled enough but wanted to tell you about the good food. Hopefully I'll feel a little better afterwhile and be able to get some things done that I badly need to do. You know like...laundry,cleaning,wrapping gifts, putting up tree and a little cooking.
